Message From Chair of FoLS
Hello,
My name is Mel and I was recently elected as the new chair of FoLS.
I have been a member of the FoLS team for many years now and I feel very strongly about helping this charity raise vital funds for our children’s school.
I currently have a daughter at Lewknor school who is in year 6 and have had the pleasure of my eldest daughter see out her primary school years at this lovely school too.
They have both really enjoyed their time here and both thrived throughout the years.
FoLS is a friendly committee and we pride ourselves on working as a team, with each of us giving as much time as we are able to give in helping plan and run fundraising events throughout the school year. We are constantly trying to come up with new ideas whilst keeping these events fun for all who attend.
We already have some exciting things ahead planned for this year such as:
• After school cinema nights
• Mufti days
• Mother’s Day and Father’s Day gift sales
• Easter eggsraverganza
• Summer fun day
So keep your eyes peeled for further information on these events.
Our aim is to support the school with donating as much as possible each year to help fund for vital learning resources, educational trips and much more to give our children the best possible education.
We are always looking to welcome new members to our FoLS family so if anyone would be interested in joining the team do please let me know or speak to a member of the school staff who will be able to pass on a message to me.
